The right
website design can have a big impact on a company's sales, and take website owners into new markets. What it takes is a design that is appealing to buyers, and directs people with a call to action. For example, "Buy now" or "Subscribe to our newsletter" are calls to action.
How your Spokane website design can potentially get your site high rankings in Google
Do web design and Google rankings really go together? Absolutely, I believe, and the moment you understand that I hope you'll take a serious look at how your text content is presented on your website targetting Spokane customers, and what kind of headlines you're using in an attempt to make a sale.
Not only may they be costing you business -- because in your web design they're poor attention grabbers -- but they may also be causing your Google searchers to hit the back button on their browsers, and taking them back to Google search.
Ouch. That I believe can hurt a website's rankings in standard search results.
Why is web design like brochure design?
Take a moment to consider some of the brochures you've seen used in marketing by other Spokane businesses.
Think of a website as an interactive brochure, that tells readers about your product or service, and explains the benefit of your product/service, in an easy-to-read, attention grabbing manner.
Well, that's how a successful brochure should work. But not all brochures are successful at grabbing attention, or of maximizing the attention they grab.
A website falls in to the same dilemma.
Designed poorly, or with the use of the wrong headlines, it may not grab the attention of as many people as it could.
Why your site may rank poorly in Google
Little do people know, but this can also be a factor in how your site ranks in Google search. I've watched Google trends over the years, and one thing I noticed is that websites that can keep people on the page may in fact do better than others that don't keep people on the page. Instead, readers hit their back button and return to Google, to seek out the other sites listed in the search results. Keep in mind, there is no proven science to understanding Google's "algorithms" (except perhaps for the programmers behind the scenes at Google), but this is just one thing I've noticed.
Working to get higher rankings in Google with your web design
One of the things I want to do with your site is build it in a way that grabs a person's attention when they land on your page, and then keeps them reading, and keeps them clicking, and keeps them from quickly hitting the back button and returning to Google.
